I’m sorry to have to write a negative review of this mascara as it seems to be much loved, but I think it’s dreadful. I’ve used the original They’re Real in the past and was excited to try this updated version, but I’m so disappointed in it. I’ve tried it on 3 separate occasions in different settings- out for a long walk on a sunny day, on a night out, and just staying at home, and on every single time it was only a matter of a couple of hours before it was in a huge circle under my eyes. This rarely happens to me so it’s not that I have oily eyelids or rub my eyes etc, so it’s down to the mascara being poor. It is a shame because after applying it looks amazing, but that’s no good when it only lasts a minute. I’ve already thrown it out.

Benefit do great mascaras and this product fits that description
I love Benefit mascaras and this product is no different. I have to say my long lashes prefer Benefit They’re Real to this Benefit They’re Real Magnet mascara but I still use this product happily. The brush has minimum - sized bristles so poking your eyeball while applying this is highly unlikely, in contrast to the applicator on other ‘they’re real’ mascara.And the product is nice and thick.

worth a buy!
a nice mascara, it didnt flake for me and held a curl in my lashes the whole day. i remove with camomile cleansing balm from the body shop and it comes off easily. i applied 2 coats which didnt give a "false lash" effect to me, but made my lashes look much thicker and longer

Great mascara, effective and didn’t affect my dry eyes!
Great mascara as ever from Benefit! My 53 year old eyelashes look longer and volumised! Easy to apply with great shaped brush! , I bought the smaller size to try as I have dry eyes but I will definitely buy the bigger one as my eyes were fine , well done again Benefit!!

Almost perfect!
I love the brush on this mascara, it’s separates my lashes well!
However, I have noticed that throughout the day, that it transfers to my brow bone and occasionally, underneath my bottom lash line. Other than that, amazing product!

Original still better
I still prefer the original they’re real mascara, I was really excited to try this new mascara but it wasn’t any better than the original and it smudged under my eyes throughout the day, an issue I don’t normally have.

Amazing product
This mascara is amazing. It is lengthening, smudge proof and the magnet effect works. I would recommend it. + It is travel size so you can try it before purchasing the full size.

Good mascara but not waterproof
This is a great everyday mascara. The only downside is it isn’t as waterproof as other benefit mascaras & I find it runs after a day of wear.
