Battery life is terrible "up to 30mins from 100%" translates to 5 mins before running out. My pair have also stopped giving the warning noise before running of battery completely. Have to charge 3 times to straighten my hair fully, and don't have overly thick or long hair.. also when they inevitably run out after 5 mins, you can't keep using once plugged in, you have to wait again for them to charge up. Ridiculous 🤷 These wireless straighteners are a gimmick. Don't waste your money would be my advice.

Sadly disappointed
I got the straighteners for Christmas. I was so excited, I have all other Dyson products and had wanted these too.
I absolutely love so much about them. Them being cordless, the stand, the brush and comb, the heat settings and how quickly they heat up. Even the weight wasn’t an issue.
However, I am truly gutted because when using them, they pull at my hair. I read some tips and it stated to hold behind the white line and don’t press too tightly which I tried. Unfortunately, they continued to pull at my hair and I could hear it snapping. Due to this I will be returning them as I hate to think what my hair would look like in a few months time.

Wanted to love them, but I simply don't.
I am a huge Dyson fan, and LOVE the hairdryer, but these are simply awful for my hair. the ridges on the side are the problem. This should be made smooth.They completely snag your hair. I lent them to my friend to try in case it was just me, but no, same for her. The problem is I have extremely fine hair and have specialist hair care and cannot afford to keep using them - is there any way you'd buy them back Dyson? I'm really upset as they were an expensive purchase and now I have go back to the well known competitor as I know they don't snag my hair in this way. Not sure what to do with them.

Easy to use, super straight hair for days
My Husband bought these for me as a gift and I was excited to use them...they're quite heavy compared to my old straighteners but that's because they're cordless. The battery doesn't last very long if on the highest heat setting so I use them on the middle setting. I find curling my hair much easier due to the shape and not having a cord in the way. These get my hair super straight and shiny with just one pass over each section and the style holds for days (my hair is naturally wavy and frizzy). The only downside is they sound like they are dragging through the hair - they don't pass through smoothly like other brands. Overall I'm happy with them!

Not worth the price tag. I feel disappointed for my partner.
These were bought for me for Christmas and I was concerned as I'd read mixed reviews.
The flexing plates give a really smooth finish to my long mid thickness hair but the straighteners themselves barely hold a full charge to do a full head, which is a bit pointless in a cordless straightener.
I'm also very concerned at the amount of tearing I get considering there seems to be nowhere for my hair to snag on.
My low price straighteners may well be too hot for my hair but they have never snagged or pulled it.
I feel a bit let down for my partner as he thought he was doing a really special thing in buying these and I know he won't take them back.

Unfortunately average
I absolutely love dyson and my home is kitted out in dyson products. The hair straighteners felt like a luxury given the price point, but I indulged and almost wish I hadn’t. They are so heavy. Really heavy. I will not travel with these nor are they optimal for more than a few minutes use given the require extensive arm workout. The job it does it average - not blown away by the performance. I have to go over my hair a few times despite being on the highest temp and having slightly wavy hair. Battery life is very short so you do need the plug - which doesn’t fit in the soft pouch provided. For the price, I wish I had returned these.

Very poor
I am just returning these to Selfridges, they are terrible straighteners, they pull and break my ends. My hair was falling off so much after I straightened it because it was pulling it that bad. The copper plates are actually so rough on the edge that it doesn't glide through my hair at all. Terribly disappointed, this was the experience I would have expected 15/20 years ago with cheap straighteners. I'm only giving 2 stars because the design is actually quite nice. I'm normally a fan of Dyson and cannot live without my hoover but they really need to try much harder when it comes to straighteners and come up with much smoother plates. Not worth the money.

Not what i expected
being an owner of the dyson hairdryer which is amazing and 2 hoovers, I was expecting good things from the straighteners. I brought them for the feature of hair protection and less breakage. However when I ran these through my hair, I saw slight breakage and they didn't feel smooth through my hair. to be fair my hair is a lttile dry, however these are not as good as I would of expected from a premium brand. Due to me seeing breakage on first use I decide to return them after one day. I think if the actual plates were smoother then this could be better. Great idea for cordless and lovely packaging but I didn't buy it to look at.
