[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying Healy Kiwi which seemed to solve my itchy and dry scalp for a while, it stopped working. The lovely peeps at Ethique sent me this to try. Perfect ! Using with In the Buff conditioner seems to be working without weighing y hair down. Thank you

Great for eczema sufferers
I have eczema on my face and scalp and tried other natural shampoos which either iritated or didn't leave my hair in a good condition. This doesn't affect my skin and my hair feels nice and takes longer to get greasy. Almost finished my mini and about to open my full size bar.

This bar lasts ages and washes my hair well. It definitely is unscented, but I think next time I’d go for the pink one as I prefer having some scent.

A great remedy for a scalp damaged by SLS
This is the first product that made me find Ethique in the first place. At the start of this year I discovered the damage that ten years of using high SLS, supposedly ‘natural’ shampoo bars has done to my scalp. The skin is so flaky and has problems retaining any moisture now. So I found Ethique’s SLS free bars and I am happy to say that Bar Minimum is the most gentle shampoo I’ve ever felt. As you can see from the video, it doesn’t give a very visible foam, it merely gives a slight bubbly texture when you look at it on your hands, which means it doesn’t strip your hair or scalp of essential moisture but still removes any excess or dirt from hair. While my scalp hasn’t stopped flaking completely , this bar has prevented all the clumps and clods of dry skin from accumulating on my roots again because it is so gentle and doesn’t dry out my scalp further.
The scent of this bar is extremely minimal. I can barely smell anything except a slight hint of oats, so for anyone with a smell sensitivity or aversion to strong smells, this is the bar for you.
In the photo you can see I cut the bar to make it easier to use/ dry, store in the bathroom and to last longer, but I wouldn’t recommend it; it is quite firm and doesn’t cut cleanly ( a chunk came off instead of a clean half) However, given that it doesn’t go soggy easily, using it whole is fine. I will definitely be buying this again when my bar (eventually!) runs out.
Just to note, this review asks about oil production and I have put moderate, as my scalp produces notmal oil which my hair retains, but my scalp itself can no longer retain this oil.
