Takes a while to love
This was a blind buy. A friend loved it and I trusted her enough to buy it. I am a fan of leather so I wasn't too worried. I could smell it immediately I took the plastic off the box and with the first spray I was like, uff, this isn't for me. It seemed like it had no depth or complexity at all. It's just animalic. But I don't return things for reasons like not liking it. So I decided to wear it as much as possible just to get the bottle over and done with. It was a great decision because now I don't want to leave the house without it. Here is my nose's break down.
First spray, I can't breathe, I don't want to breathe. It is very, very animalic. Almost off putting. All there is is leather.
Dry down, wait, what is that? Is that me? I smell amazing! You now get to the other notes such as the cedar, sandalwood, and yellow florals. One thing that persists is leather. Top, heart and base. With this combination it has an oud effect. A hint of sweetness emerges. And trust me when I say, it smells like expensive GCC auntie/uncle. Mature, hence the reference, but it had me at expensive. It gets a lot of compliments from men and women who enjoy the Middle Eastern style of perfumery. The longevity is insane. The sillage is head-turning. I spray it on my abayas so not washed as often but just passing my wardrobe, I get that whiff days after. It's very beautiful and leaves you wanting more.
I will say this, do not be like me and blind buy this. It isn't for the faint of heart. But also, don't think you will get the true, complete experience just from a strip of paper from a tester at the store. Get a sample, get a small decant. Don't be immediately thrown off from the first spray. Dont spray it too close to your nose or you won't experience the metamorphosis. Give it some time. Go about your day. Let its magic happen. Then you will smell its beauty. Give it an hour or so. Maximum 3 sprays is all you need. I know a lot say one or two but I am of Middle Eastern heritage, that's a myth for me. For those just venturing into Middle Eastern style perfumery, don't start with this fragrance. If you have a little experience, then consider. It is definitely a cooler weather, evening fragrance. I wouldn't dare wear this when it is hot or warm. I could be a bio hazard. It can be layered. To bring some depth and complexity which this somewhat lacks. So bring in something sweet with a touch of fruit, floral or zest and it is out of this world.
Wonderful job Thierry Wasser and Guerlain. Cuir Intense is beautiful, powerful, refined and head turning. It demands attention. It demands respect. It demands applause.

Very Intense
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love wearing unisex perfume and love every Guerlain fragrance.
When the new "Guerlain Cuir Intense Eau De Parfum" just came out,I was so excited to try it.
But after only one spray on my wrist,I knew it wasn't for me.As it's very strong and the smell of leather makes this perfume more masculine rather than an unisex one.
So I just gave it to my other half who was really happy to receive a new perfume and he loves wearing it to go out.
We would say that this intense perfume is perfect for people who loves following rock trends and loves wearing leather clothes.
It's more an evening perfume and not one that you would wear on everyday.
This fragrance last for longer on skin and on clothes.The next day we could still smell it.The 125 ml brown bottle is pretty and there's a bee on the golden cap.As it's big it will probably last for a long while.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wasn't really for me I couldn't tell if it was for men or women although online it looked unisex I thought it smelt like aftershave more , it has a very strong scent , leathers and a bit of spice , you only need the smallest amount and it will last for days I gave it to my brother and he was over the moon with it , definitely worth the money but would suggest having a sample 1st to make sure you like the scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got this perfume to try and I usually stick to the same 3/4 so wanted to try something new for a change. However, personally I am not fussed on this scent as it is very woody whereas I prefer floral or fruity. On the plus side if this is a scent that you like it is long lasting which is a bonus!

Smells amazing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My partner loves this fragrance. He has found his new favourite. You only need one or two spray pumps of this as it is quite strong when you first put it on, but the fragrance softens after a while. The fragrance lasts all day really well. It really does smell Devine. Definitely a man's scent. He wears it every day now. Definitely a big thumbs up from me and him.

Love the design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the design of the bottle. It looks so unusual, so simple,but stylish and attractive. Now the scent itself, left so,so confused feelings...it is so powerful from the beginning,that powerful wood and leather scent,now I like the slight wood scent,but this was to much for me unfortunately,after a good 10 minutes, the wood scent become ot so powerful, so I could smell a peach notes and some flowery notes as well. I have such a mixture feelings, as soon I applied it on my skin, I said to my self,that it is to strong for me,to much leather,wood and even slight tobacco notes,but just after an hour,it become not that powerful and started to enjoy it. I would say that this perfume is more for autumn or winter,rather then summer and for me it definitely not the every day we're perfume.
