Absolutely love these hair straighteners!!
I have long, thick, wavy hair that normally takes over an hour to straighten with ghds and as soon as I go outside, my hair will start going wavy again, So I had wasted an hour and damaged my hair for nothing. These straighteners are something else, I’m done in a little under 30mins, sometimes a single pass with these is enough. my hair is super glossy and feels amazing, it stays straight for days! Without a touch up needed.. Honestly feels a lot less damaging on my hair so I have been straightening my hair more often than I would have with the ghd’s. This is a total game changer.

Best straighteners every! Worth every penny.
Yes this product seems to be expensive but trust me its worth every penny! I’ve previously had the first steampod and have been using that for over 5 years and still works but wanted to upgrade to this one as its more compact and I absolutely love it. If you’ve got long, thick and frizzy hair like mine then you will love it too, doesn’t take too long to straighten and its so smooth and silky afterwards and the next day my hair is still straight. Like with my old steampod I can create nice curls and waves and it doesn’t damage my hair and I use it everyday.

Complete game changer Amazing 5*
I have mixed Afro hair and have stopped relaxers for the last 5 years in favour of Texture Release. I have another well known brand of straighteners the top of the range white ones, they are ok but not as good as previous generations. I purchased the L’Oreal Steampod 3.0 on the recommendation of my hairdresser and all I can say is they are amazing. My hair is long to shoulder blades and these cut straightening time in half.
The steam really helps leaving your hair silky smooth and not dry. My hair seems healthier and is growing. I have balayage and I believe this Steampod is maintaining the health of my hair.
The little comb attached is great as I could never do the chase method so for me this is brilliant and gives a more professional finish.
The different heat settings are excellent for matching your hair type and needs. I see other straighteners are reducing heat, which for us us mixed hair type curly chicks is not helping us achieve results we want. The Steampod 3.0 has not gone this way thank you L’Oreal. It’s not just about getting poker straight hair, but also about achieving bouncy curls first time in one pass. I have found this really easy to do with the Steampod.
Finally the integrated water tank is a genius idea. You can easily use 2 or 3 times without refilling. I bought some deionised water from Wilko as you need to avoid using tap water. As for any negatives I can only think of one in that you need to get used to the size as these are bigger than regular straighteners, but I can say I don’t notice this any more after using. So for me the benefits outweigh any negatives and they are definitely worth investing in a pair.

No more GHDs
I have used GHDs for over 10 years and I will never use another pair. This straightener has transformed my hair. The results are longer lasting, hair is much smoother and sleeker. It does not look frazzled anymore and the ends even look healthy. I regularly bleach my hair and the amount of breakage I experience has decreased noticeably. I just wish I'd known about these earlier. I do remove the comb as I found it was dragging in my hair.

The best
This is the best hair straightener I ever used. My hair is curly and never sits straight for the whole day but with this one is simply amazing. And the way my hair shines is surreal. The best investition I ever did. It’s worth the money!

A great investment
So this is great. It takes a bit of getting used to as it’s different to standard straighteners but it’s much better. Unlike standard straighteners, my hair doesn’t get frizzy or static with these and the result lasts much longer!

Good but lose the comb...
After much deliberation.. I bought this a few days ago.. I have long hair and lots of it.. naturally wavy... my first impression is good... I don’t find them at all bulky as I’ve been using the extra wide cloud straighteners for years and they’re about the same width. However, if you’re used to using slim straighteners you will find them bulky...
Ok.. first up heat is heat.. so obviously it would be better for your hair if you didn’t even use a hairdryer.. but if you want poker straight... you’re going to need a bit of help... these were better for my hair due to the fact that you only need to do one passover... there’s no need to keep doing the same section.. but make sure the arrow (clearly marked) is pointing down... I also removed the comb.. it’s very plastic (for £235 I would’ve expected better) as it was setting my teeth on edge and literally ripping my hair out! Once the comb is removed you can straighten without worrying about hair breakage... it’s quicker than irons and must be kinder because it’s steam.. but as I said earlier heat is heat...
Overall I’m quite impressed.. they’re definitely replacing my clouds but also make sure you buy the demineralised water ... don’t fill them with tap water... they will break... and your guarantee will be void because you’re not supposed to use tap water... beware.. this is not visually stated anywhere but it is important..

Is this any good for shorter hair chin length? My hair is thick and on the market for new straightners
I don’t think so. You would be fine with the top hair but the very short bits would be a bit hard.
