Not what i thought!
After debating between shark and dyson i decided to go with shark due to good reviews. Unfortunately i feel i have made a mistake. When using the barrels my curls drop out almost instantly and my curls usually hold really well. Ive tried using the barrels on both damp and dry hair and with and without hear protection products. The barrels also leave lines in my hair caused by the ridges on the barrel which are noticeable and do not look good. The hairdryer itself is good but no better than my standard hairdryer. When using the shark i also find my room looks quite smokey. All in all i am gutted as i had very high hopes for this and it wasnt cheap!

Good piece of kit but not for me
I have very fine wavy hair and also blow dry my hair out when it's straightened so thought this is the exact product I have needed for so long! Although it's a really good design and a great piece of kit, I just felt it wasn't worth the price. I would definitely keep it if it was £100 cheaper, but my hair didn't seem much different after using it, I was expecting a big difference for the price. The bristles of the hot brush were coming out a little too, but this has a nice feel on your hair. The air wrap was good, but my curls didn't stay in. I was disappointed as I was so excited to have this! Overall, decent enough but would want it to be amazing for the price.

No more straighteners for me!
Ive been straightening my hair daily for 25 years and read about this product being less damaging so thought I'd try it, my hairdryer was on its last legs and i was interested in trying the two in one brush and dry system. The shark model was cheaper than Dyson and in my opinion the stone colour is beautiful. I've used my dryer for 2 weeks daily now and haven't touched my straighteners once, i love it! My hair is too short for the curlers but I'm growing it out so I'll try those out later, but the concentrator and brushes are great for a salon quality blow dry, my hair is left smooth and shiny every time

Curls don’t last longer than 5 minutes
I bought this after trying the Dyson and returning it. Unfortunately I found this is WORSE than the Dyson. The curls just do not last on my hair at all, no matter what I do. I’ve tried mousse, texturising spray, pinning it up, cold shot, rollers. You name it, I’ve done it. The curls fall out within 5-10 minutes. I have medium to long hair and my hair generally holds a curl well with my curling iron - 3 day curls maximum. I think the shark is bulky and quite heavy, and I don’t like how the on button is right at the bottom of the base. I don’t like how you have to swap barrels to change the direction of your hair. If I had to buy one, it’d be the Dyson as the curls lasted longer on me. (Like half an hour) but I wouldn’t recommend either.

Disappointed
It does dry my hair quickly and hopefully I will see less heat damage as times go. Unfortunately air wrap does nothing for my hair. Curls does not last even 10 minutes and I did try every possible way- dry hair/damp hair with styling products and without. Gave every curl a cooling shot but still curls just do not hold at all. The round brush is really big but does not gives the volume. I find my old dryer with a smaller round brush gives the roots much more volume as I can get closer to the roots and better wrap around. The dryer is also quite heavy, but I gues it is due to the motor in in. I don't think I would purchase it again for the given price and quite disappointing results.

Not worth the money, the brushes are falling off.
I was looking forward to buy shark for such a long time. I have made my research which one is potentially better between shark vs Dyson. When it actually arrived I started testing it straight away. I love it as a blow dryer but that’s all. The brushes does attach strong enough, every time I brush my hair the attachments of the brushes are falling off. Every single time. It’s not even like my hair is plotting or some sort. I have very healthy silky hair, so I don’t understand why are the attachments are falling off every time I brush my hair. The air wrap is just pointless. I tried every serum to hold the curls, with mousse and hairsprays and styling creams, it’s just doesn’t last, in my case it doesn’t even last an hour. I always buy all my appliances from shark, and I’m never disappointed, but this product is just not worth it.

Good piece of kit
Really like this product but it takes a lot of getting used to, I found the best way to get curls to stay in was to only half dry my hair then use the curling barrels, takes a while but it does produce beautiful curls when you get them right. The hair dryer is brilliant, has halved my dry time and I love the round brush - would prefer a smaller version of it but it does produce a good blow out! Overall a good product, but as said, it takes a lot of trial and error and getting used to.

Absolute game changer
This is such a gamechanger to blow dry my Afro hair! Also used on my daughters very curly non Afro hair, love how it’s quick to dry so not using prolonged heat. When having my hair straight I’m only needing to put heat on my hair once, and it lasts the week. I use the comb/pik or brush attachment and the quickest I’ve dried my hair is 7 minutes!!
Used the curl attachments for a night out and kept getting asking if I’d had extensions put in!
Love this, money well spent
