Different to my normal
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very surprised with the scent of Tom Ford Black Orchid Parfum for Ladies.
It is a pleasant smell, it smells quite masculine and a dark scent - opposite to flowery and floral, more like maybe Winter Flower smells? I would use this on a night out in a club perhaps or evening do but I wouldn't wear it to lunch as the smell is quite strong but in a club it would be noticed.
The packaging is nice and colourful, I think this could be a unisex scent as I am sure my partner would be happy to wear it as well.
Nice perfume and different to scents I normally wear so it is a nice change

Exotic and rich perfume

It is quite a heady, slightly masculine scent but I found it perfect for me as I'm not a fan of really floral perfumes, I find them sickly. It does have more of an evening wear smell to me but it does last quite a long time so would be good for day wear as it will fade. I have been given several compliments on this perfume and it is becoming my signature scent. You do not need to use an excessive amount, I use two sprays and I don't need to top up during the day. The branding and packaging are also luxurious and look really well on a dresser or in my makeup bag!

Unique and stunning
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little dubious about this when I first sprayed it as it does smell a bit unusual, and unlike any perfume I’d ever smelled before. As it settles down, it develops into this lovely, deep and rich fragrance. I just keep smelling myself every time I wear it!! I think it could be worn by anyone - it has a good mix of feminine and masculine scents that it doesn’t really subscribe to a specific gender. I’ve never really thought about fragrance in that way before either, so it’s quite refreshing.
I’ve already purchased a bottle after using my sample... can’t get enough of it.

Great for men but not unisex imo
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So Tom Ford Black Orchid parfum is the more intense version of black orchid. Its advertised as a unisex perfume and having tried a few by other brands I was keen to try.
I felt this one just doesnt get the balance between feminine and masculine scent quite right. To me it very much smells like a mens aftershave/perfume.
It personally wouldn't be one I would wear. My husband did like it though so I'm sure a lot of men would like the rich plummy scent.
It also lasts without having to reapply and has a good intensity.
Overall I've given 3 stars as a unisex perfume its not for me but for men it's a thumbs up.

Very old fashioned
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon receiving my sample, I was very excited to smell this perfume, however after spraying it on myself I realised that Black Orchid doesn't suit me. I found the smell to be very overpowering and old fashioned at first. The smell reminded me of so called "grandma's perfume" and it smelled of liquorice, which might sound daft. The plus side of it is that it is definitely long lasting and I could smell it on my wrists even after a shower. As the perfume stared to wear off the smell wasn't as intense and it had a nice scent to it, but not good enough for my collection.

Powerful scent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had opportunity to try Black Orchard Parfum I must admit it's quite a powerful scent when you first apply it, it's really overpowering but after a while the scent doesn't seem as powerful or strong and the scent is then beautiful. I think because it's got such a strong scent it makes it last throughout the day, I didn't need to reapply come the evening, even with just one spray. I've rated it a 4 put of 5 because the scent is a little too overpowering for me, I like it when it is more subtle throughout the day. It is a unique smell and believe it could be unisex.

This intense fragrance is Tom Ford's Black Orchid.
The fragrance is intense, woody-oriental, elegant and refined.
For a self-confident woman, aware of her sexuality, who wants to stimulate men.
The scent is permanent and stays on the skin for a long time, it has a hypnotizing effect like incense, making you feel into a state of sensual intoxication.
It is completely unlike the fragrances I have used so far.

Pure Decadence
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've previously heard a lot about Black Orchid from friends and somehow it didn't appeal to me at all. However, when I finally tried it on myself, I couldn't be more wrong in thinking that I wouldn't like it. What a decadent, rich perfume! This is so moody that it literally made me want to be at some upper scale restaurant for a dinner or opera even. It does last a good while on skin and you don't need to spray yourself endlessly to catch its notes, so should last some time. If you feel like splashing some cash on perfume, spend it on this!
