wonderful product
I used to use Aveda products for years but had to give them up because I lost my job. As money became tight I had to make sacrifices and unfortunately this was something that had to go. I have been going through a lot of stress and also the menopause and my hair has been suffering badly. I decided to treat myself recently to my old faithful damage remedy shampoo and conditioner. After a week of using these again my hair is feeling so much better . It is less coarse looking, it is softer and it actually shines again. Yes it is expensive, but I am a great believer in you get what you pay for . I am already saving the pennies for my next purchase!

Thicker and healthier
I bought this with matching conditioner. Took about 3 weeks for me to notice a difference. I usually use a Redken thickening product after I wash my hair and love how it thickens my hair. BUT after 3 weeks of using this shampoo and conditioner i stopped using the extra thickener and was amazed that my hair had become as thick and healthy just using this shampoo and conditioner alone. Very impressive to achieve that kind of transformation. Expensive but worth it. I had damaged ends and my hairdresser advised cutting off about 3 inches at my next appointment. I bought this to see if I could reverse the damage and prevent the cut. It's worked!

Doesn't tangle hair too much during shampoo
Most shampoos get really bubbly then leave hair a tangled mess on rinse. This seems to clean the scalp and hair well, but doesn't foam a lot, so doesn't tangle hair as much. It's still tangled, mind, but the conditioner untangles it. It appears the approach to damage remedy is to not tangle wet hair so much, so it doesn't break as much. The other high street and organic shampoos and conditioners I used caused the front of my hair to break 4 inches. It still remains to be seen how well this works over time, but so far it seems better. Note, this doesn't add shine or particularly de-frizz but it is softer.

Great but.....
I have been using this for a year and I love it. I have fine, Aveda coloured but heat damaged hair and this does make my hair feel softer and keep my split ends at bay a while longer but I feel I have to use a really good cleansing shampoo to get rid of the built up from this product. I like to use it when my hair has been particularly fried. I use the hair and body cleanser then this as it keeps my hair feeling lighter. I would imagine it's better for thicker hair as it does weigh mine down. However I do love it and will continue to have a bottle in my bathroom.

Definitely using Aveda damage remedy shampoo from now on.
I was using this shampoo every few washes but realise it makes such a difference to the condition of my hair and treated myself to shampoo, conditioner and daily repair remedy. After using them for a few weeks my hair which was losing lustre and shine (probably due to menopause) has recovered and people are commenting on how good it looks. Very happy. May cost a little more but you only need half the amount of a cheaper shampoo.

Miracle worker!
Last summer I had highlights for the first time, which made my hair really brittle, and shortly afterwards I got sepsis. My skin and hair have been freaking out ever since and I've had to stop using all my usual products. My hair was like straw. I tried lots of different products, and nothing was helping - until I decided to cut out sulphates and tried this (and the damage remedy conditioner). After a few weeks, my hair has started to feel smooth and look healthy again. Phew!

Amazing
My in laws bought me this shampoo, the conditioner and daily repair for Christmas. I had never used it before and wasn't really expecting anything great. I was DELIGHTED. After just one wash my hair felt so much better. I've been using it a couple of months now and the difference is astounding. It costs more than I would usually spend, but honestly, it is so worth it. I'm totally converted. Love this range.

No problem for my fine hair!
I recently purchased the trial sizes of the damage remedy shampoo and conditioner to try to see if they could make any difference to my bleached, heat damaged, fine hair. I had been using another brand for the past 2 years and had an itchy head (due to sulphates) and brittle hair with split ends. WOW! What a difference and right from the 1st shampoo. No itchy head, my hair is smooth and bouncy without being weighed down and I even think the ends of my hair look less frazzled. I am now just waiting for my Pure Privilege Card so I can order more. I am using with the damage remedy reconstructing conditioner and the daily repair as they all work together. I would recommend this to anyone with damaged fine hair...don't be worried, it will transform how you feel about your hair.
