Love this oil
I never write reviews but I'm writing this as I would never want this hair oil to be discontinued! I have been using it as a pre- wash treatment for a few hours or overnight before shampooing it out (with the smooth infusion line) and this has made a huge difference to my hair. I have curly dry hair that I nearly always straighten and adding this in has made it feel cleaner and more bouncy while also being smooth and shiny. I love it and am finally having consistently good hair days thank you aveda! Would recommend to everyone.

not impressed with it at all...
I love all the aveda products, and i feel very disappointed with this oil. ways my hair down and it feels extremely greasy even that i use very little of it.. not impressed with the applicator to, very difficult to get it out and when it dose it's all over the carpet.. shopping in bristol last week in house of fraser as i had some vouchers for xmas, so i went to the aveda and received no interest or help from anyone even after asking about this new oil the girl behind the desk didn't even look at me.. so not a good experience at all, don't really know what to think now :/

Reduces dryness, not so for me!
I have been searching for something to replace an alternative company product on my hair and since I started back on Aveda wanted to find something from their range, settling on this. 4-6 drops didn't even look at my hair. Starting with tangles didn't help, but this product really struggled with my hair. I tried, I think between 12-20 drops and even then, it appeared to catch better on the bits I think I touched first I.e. The front / side bits and missed the back, which I have a lot of as it is really thick. This left me with greasy front bits and still dry and unruly back bits!

Miracle oil
I have used numerous different oils on my fine,coloured hair and always given up after a few days because they seem to leave a coating on my hair which leaves it feeling synthetic - like dolls' hair :( Combined with a variety of Aveda shampoos - depending on my mood & mostly Damage Remedy conditioner, one or two drops of this lovely oil leave my hair soft & shiny and gradually looking far less dry. It really seems to soak into my hair rather than sitting on top of it. I was 50 last year & for the first time that I can ever remember, I have begun to like my hair :) I have wasted literally hundreds of pounds over the years desperately seeking something that would fix my hair. I used Aveda in my early twenties & then stopped for some reason. So glad to have finally returned :)

Best cuticle oil around, but not good for hair
I use Aveda's Volumising Tonic and Smooth Infusion, and would not be without them, and I therefore bought the Oil with great confidence in the brand, hoping that in between washes, it would defrizz, help bring some shine back to my hair, also help my layers blend back in. Sadly, it did none of those things. It made the layers separate even more, and did nothing for the frizz, in fact it seemed to highlight it. This is not a cheap product, and I was very annoyed that I had wasted my money. However, I then read the reviews on this site, one of which recommended using it as cuticle oil, which I did, and it is fantastic, also giving my nails a nice non-greasy sheen. So at least I now have a use for it, but I won't be putting it anywhere near my hair.

Astonish yourself!
My hair is very fine, not very thick and often dry and frizzy due to the midlife vanity of colouring to hide grey hair. I would never have thought oil would be any good, but in fact it's the most effective and nourishing treatment I have ever applied to my hair. I get fantastic texture and all the signs of dryness vanish instantly, no greasiness, not weighed down by the oil. It's quite boggling actually. Thank you Aveda!

A small amount made a massive difference to my hair. I have curly thick hair and with winter it looked a bit dry. As soon as I applied the oil my hair shined and my curls were more defined. The smell of the oil is amazing - my husband loved how my hair smelled too.

Best hair oil
I have very long, naturally curly, frizz prone hair that has suffered years of abuse through over processing and heat damage. Having tried many many different hair oils (kerastase, Moroccan oil, L'oreal professional to name a few) I have to say that this one is the best. The bottle design makes it easy to control how much you use, it smells amazing, does not feel oily or sticky in the hair like some oils, and smooths and softens out my damage & frizz. This is my second bottle & I will definately be buying more.
