Aveda Volumizing Tonic
I really like this product. My hair is fine and inclined to be dry, but it seems to look greasy if not washed every day. When I first used this product, I did not read the instructions (!) and simply sprayed it onto damp hair before using the hair dryer to style it. The next day I felt disappointed with how my hair looked, BUT then read the instructions before the next wash and, after shampooing and rinsing my hair sprayed it all over my head but , this time parting my hair each time first so that it went directly on the roots. Very pleased the next day! It certainly gives my hair a "bounce" but without feeling greasy or heavy. I would certainly recommend this!

blow dry upside down
I have fine, damaged hair that generally never has volume, especially at the roots. When using this product, I seperate my hair into a few root sections and spray about 6 sprays in total. I then brush it through, flip my hair upside down and blow dry. I do not use a brush, I use my fingers to create volume. Do not use high heat with this product as it will not work as well. My hair is less oily with this product as my hair is lifted slightly off my head. Great product for fine hair. Thicker hair may wish to use a heavier product.

Aveda Volumising tonic
I was not really expecting much with this product as I have purchased nearly everything going in my bid to volumise my hair which has always been very fine and not thick so I have been pleasantly surprised with the results so far. It is not going to give me what I have not got but it certainly makes my hair feel less flat and thin and puts in some volume so I will keep this product and maybe try other Aveda products too.

Best product I have tried
Spray on damp hair and dry normally. Hair feels fresh and clean for 4-5 days before I wash it again. Brilliant product which saves you time when doing your hair.

Love this for my thinning hair!
I'm new to Aveda, and this product has made me a committed customer. I have thinning hair and really struggle to try to get volume into the roots, without my hair feeling sticky with product residue. This gorgeous tonic smells wonderful, provides lift and volume without the residue!

Amazing product!
I recently lost my hair due to chemotherapy treatment. It is now growing back; this product has really helped it look thicker and fuller, and made styling my short hair much easier - just spray, blow dry and go! I would definitely recommend this to anyone with thin and/or short hair. Thank you, Aveda!

does not spray properly
I tried this product some time ago, found it sticky and heavy so put it away and forgot about it. Rediscovered yesterday and gave it another chance. This time I sprayed it on my hands and then ran them through the roots of my hair. Much better results, but I've only given 3 stars because out of 3 uses it worked once. I'll try the same method again. The reason I did this was because I realized that the problem is with the spray itself. It squirts rather than sprays so you end up with too much in some places and is generally uncontrollable.

good for volume
like this lots. Great for adding volume and shine. My helpfull hint is to blast dry hair a bit before you style so you don't water down the poduct.
