Love this for complete accuracy when applying the darker shades of lipstick (nude - well dark for me!!). The retracting mechanism is very clever and means it can be thrown in the handbag without a worry. No you won't 'need' it but you will want it for a professional lipstick look.

Best brushes I've ever used
I bought the Lip Brush recently as I was so impressed with a previous purchase of the Eye Shader Brush. The BB Lip Brush somehow manages to collect more lipstick than other brushes I've used in the past so I'm not having to constantly re-load the brush. I've used it daily for weeks and there's no sign of moulting, which I've found to be a problem with other brushes I've used. I'm not at all surprised BB brushes are award winners - they're amazing.

A Must-Have for EVERYONE
Everyone who uses makeup should have this brush. I bought mine years ago and I still take it everywhere I go. You can use it to smudge your lipliner if you have applied too harsh a line. You MUST use it to apply lip stick because it will make it look better and last longer. If you apply your lip colour from the tube it only 'sits' on the top of your lips. Using this brush pushes the lip colour into your lip crinkles and makes them look smoother.(I apply a coat of lippy, 'bite' a tissue and then apply another coat and my lippy lasts all day!) Any of you that moan about the brushes in Bobbi Brown lip glosses should get this to apply them too. Same reasons as before = more professional application and it will make them last longer. Another little tip - evening bag too small ? Load up this brush with lip colour to take with you for your evening out !

Brilliant Lip Brush
I love this lip brush - the shape and weight make it super easy to accurately apply bb lip colours. The brush head is also a good shape and ensures you don't go over your lip line. It's easy to clean and and the cap is very convenient for carrying it around in your makeup bag!

Didn't meet my expectation
I knew the brush wasn't retractable because of other reviews (get the description sorted, Bobbi!). I have used a cheap lip brush for years so was really looking forward to trying out a 'good one'. Sadly I was disappointed! The brushes feel quite similar and both of them have little hairs that stick out at the base. While I had no hesitation in cutting off some of the hairs on the cheap brush I cannot bring myself to cut those on the BB one as it was expensive.

Perfect for handbag
I have a couple of travel palettes with lipsticks so was looking for a brush that could just travel in my handbag. It does the job perfectly. I haven't tried many brushes so don't know how it compares, but it does exactly what i need it to.

Wish I'd bought this long before now!
First of all I thought this brush was a bit on the large side to be able to apply lipstick carefully but not so. It picks up the product so so easily and the lipstick glides on beautifully and the finished effect is so much nicer and more polished than with just a lipstick. I really like the little lid for it too - I give it a quick spritz with the brush cleaning spray after each use then pop the lid on to keep it clean. Nice size too. Love it!

Wonderful!
A brilliant brush to add to my small collection. Easy to use and brilliant as it is compact when not in use, great for travelling! Quality is not compromised.
