Not bad but what’s it giving.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To be honest I don’t notice much difference using this product versus not. I understand it’s supposed to help your make up last and “stick” To your face, but this has never really been an issue for me. It feels like setting spray does the job pretty well for the day. However if I need my makeup to last a long time I do opt for this, because I like how it forms a barrier. The biggest problem I have with make up and time passing is not it coming off, but cracking on the skin due to dryness, so the barrier helps. I’m excited to try it along with the poreless putty primer and see how they work together.

Lovely

Amazing
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic primer. Patted it onto my skin, left 30 seconds as per instructions and then applied my foundation. My foundation definitely lasted longer with the use of this primer.
I’m newish to e.l.f products and can honestly say WOW, I’m so impressed! The price point for the quality blows me away. In the current climate I’m truly grateful to find amazing products at well affordable prices. Thank you e.l.f. I’m definitely going to be checking out all your products and will hopefully find replacements for most, if not all, of my go to makeup pieces.

Superb primer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used several different types of primers in the type and I normally like the watery ones as they give great hydration to my skin. When I found out I was chosen for a free sample of elf power grip primer which is gel like consistency I was very excited, I have to say it did not disappoint. The consistency on the primer is nice even though it’s gel and starts with being sticky but if you give it time to adjust in your skin, the sticky feeling goes away. I waited for a minute or so before applying my make up and the results were amazing. My make up stayed looking fresh for the whole day. I am really impressed. Will be buying it again in the future.

Made make up patchy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like this product as I've always loved elf products. The first time I used this primer, I allowed it to soak in a little and applied my make up as I usually would. Within an hour my make up was patchy and it really enhanced my pores as it settled. I tried it a second time, but blended with my fingers and applied my make up when the primer became tacky. My make up applied and looked lovely at first, but once again became patchy a short while later. I will be sticking to my elf poreless putty primer.

My first grip primer
I don’t have a lot to compare this too as I’ve never tried any other grip primers. I quite like this and some days I find it works better than other but that’s down to variations in my routine. I have very sensitive skin & was worried on my first use as I applied it and as I did my entire face went instantly bright red where I’d applied it (I was no more harsh rubbing it in than I am with any other product) there was no irritation but I monitored it for a few minutes and it then went to the other extreme where completely all of the redness from my skin went. It was unusual and I’ve never experienced anything like this before but that aside I like the way this makes my skin feel & it’s not as heavy feeling as I anticipated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is deceivingly good - the sticky feeling while may be unusual for some, provides a fantastic base for a long lasting makeup look. I'd recommend applying this around any oily/textured area's to smooth and help products on top glide. I noticed a longer lasting effect of my usual makeup look while using this product, and the sample size was generous to be able to fully use and test the product. The price of a full size tube is very competitive on the market of many products similar to these claims.
