Disappointing
I had really high hopes this would work for me but it didn’t work at all to protect my hair against the humidity. I used it exactly as recommended. I have fine hair which goes wavy/frizzy/generally crazy at a hint of moisture in the air. I prayed this would be my saviour after trying and giving up on so many products but I’m sorry to say it failed for me. If you want to try it I’d recommend getting the small bottle first. It’s not great economy wise when you consider the cost of the larger bottle compared to this. However if it doesn’t work you’ve only wasted £12 vs about £20. Clearly it does seem to work for some based on the reviews, but not my fine, wavy locks unfortunately.

Not at all the wow product marketed in the ad
Here is an honest review of this product. I have frizzy hair made worse by humidity and I am always on the look for a product that will truly offer a solution. I saw the ad and thought to try this. I actually got to go out on a rainy day as well after applying the product and blow drying according to instructions. Not only that it didn't prevent any frizzing but I believe it made it worse in humid conditions. In conclusion I'd not purchase this again, it doesn't raise up to the expectations set by the clever ad and there are way better products out there that can reduce frizziness without even having to use heat on the hair.

Good results despite me being rubbish and styling my hair
Saw reviews on YouTube and the claims to this product were pretty big! Honestly I’m a bit rubbish using the round brush and hair drying to get that salon look and you do have to use both heat and tension to activate the product. It did make my hair feel very soft and reduced frizz!!! (But didn’t get rid of it completely). Definitely read the instructions and being good with the round brush and dryer is needed! I would definitely recommend buying this as I did see a difference. But would also say buy the mini size first and see how you get on because it’s a pricy product

Very impressed!
This is another Color Wow product I return to - sometimes I've not felt it is that effective but I'm beginning to realise I've not been using enough product. It does say use liberally but as most hair products are made worse if you use too much, becoming heavy/sticky/stiff/greasy I was reluctant to do this to my already difficult hair, plus I have to be conscious of money. However, it seems more cost effective to use it as it states, it saves money in the long run as I don't need to use so many lotions. My hair stays pretty frizz free (a flipping miracle) and silky, especially the 2nd day (another miracle, I usual have to wash my hair every day - this stuff enables me to leave it for a few days). Very impressed!

It has made a difference for me!
I have fine coloured hair, but lots of it - and as it is colour treated, it does frizz up in rain or humidity. This has made a difference for me - I wouldnt say as dramatic as the claims, but equally I think the time in application by section may be a factor in this. I tried the trial size, and it has lasted probably 5/6 applications on medium length hair, assuming I am doing it correctly - so it is expensive, but lasts 3 washes. I therefore will try again if I can see a large bottle on offer!

Smoothing but not convinced it is worth the money
I bought the mini size of the Dream Coat as I wasn't sure what to expect from this product due to mixed reviews. My natural hair is grey and course with blond tips due to me growing out the dye. The slightest bit of moisture and it goes frizzy. The Dream Coat smells nice and did smooth the hair when activated with a hairdryer. My hair felt silky and looked smooth however the effect didnt last past a couple of days. It did reduce the overall frizziness but ultimately didn't last

Will use forever, brilliant!
I now use this every 3 washes and never had such great texture and finish, already brought my next bottle , now know why stylists use it.

Great for Afro Hair
I use this to loosen the curl on my type 4 afro hair - love that it gives the hair body and healthy looking shine! Must have on wash day.

Can you use a thickening spray with this product? If so, before or after using the dream coat?
I put on other products, not necessarily thickening spray though.
Dream coat it's best used in damp hair, so you might as well use the spray afterwards

I know it says it's activated with blow drying, would the heat from a straightening brush have the same effect?

The brand do not recommend using a heated straightening brush as it will not give you the best results as a Blow dryer would.

Would the Dream Coat affect having hair colour and also given that it lasts for 3 washes, would it build up on the hair. Thank you Jen T

The Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray has a lightweight, water like feel which does not leave a residue in the hair.
This is also safe to be used in coloured hair.
