A must have for blonds
This is a staple product for me as a blonde. As it says, it keeps the brasseyness out and helps keep my hair looking fresh, vibrant and full of colour. I use the blue malva shampoo with the damage remedy conditioner. The blue malva is not an everyday shampoo, so I mix it up with using the colour conserve shampoo and the blue malva conditioner. I absolutely love the fact that Aveda products are all plant based. When I had the scalp analysis at Aveda the lady said there was nothing she could say that I should differently and that there was no product build up on my scalp. This is because I use Aveda and have not strayed since I started using the product over 15yrs ago.

Love love love it!!
I've been growing out my hair dye to my natural colour which is silver grey and needed a good shampoo to tone down the brassiness of the blonde dye still on the ends of my hair. I came across the Aveda website and was a bit sceptical at first as the price was quite expensive, I had no reason to be as the Blue Malva shampoo is marvellous, it tones my hair beautifully, smells gorgeous, leaves my hair squeaky clean, soft and shiny and no nasty chemicals or toxins :) I just wish I'd found it earlier! I have to say I didn't notice much change at first but after the third wash the results were remarkable, I would definitately recommend this shampoo.

Lovely for scalp but drying for my fine hair
In spite of what everybody else seems to be saying about this shampoo, it is the most drying for my hair of all Aveda shampoos I have tried. My hair is fine and inclined to looking brassy where I have highlights, this shampoo seems to strip all moisture away from the hair. I will try just using the Blue Malva conditioner with a different shampoo, hopefully the conditioner will be sufficient to combat brassiness! This is the first time I have ever wanted to return any Aveda product, and I am grateful to have learned that I still can.

The Best
I have been using this now for 7 months, every wash, and it enhances my blond and grey hair. It may be expensive but it goes a long way and does not tint your hair blue like other aggressive shampoos. It also smells lovely - I love it.

Disappointing
I assume this is a replacement for the discontinued Camomile shampoo. If it is, this is a very poor substitute. I'm a natural strawberry blonde and Camomile used to give me a subtle golden tint. Blue Malva made my hair look dull and grey and I don't even have any grey hairs. At first I even thought maybe it's the age finally kicking in but them my teenage daughter who is also blonde and uses the same shampoo said that her hair looked dull and grey and quite flat. I can understand the need to eliminate the so called copper tint or whatever it is from the coloured hair but for natural blonds a bit of gold in the hair is quite complimentary. What a shame there isn't a product for us anymore.

Sparkling grey locks
I bought this shampoo after deciding to grow out my colour after 30 years of home colouring my hair and I wanted to embrace my natural silvery grey highlights. It's a wonderful product, suitable for use every wash and leaves hair soft, manageable and tones down any orange/yellow tones from the greys or from my old colour. Fantastic value for money, a litre of Aveda usually lasts me 6 months plus with everyday use so wouldn't use anything else now. Can't wait to try the conditioner!

A glimmer of sparkle!
Recommended by an Aveda store consultant about three years ago, this shampoo has given my greying hair a lift. I had previously used black malva as my hair was originally nearly black but the grey/white hairs (which are so strong and wiry they were untouched by hair dye)) looked dull and my hair lacked any shine. Although my hair is still over 50% dark, this shampoo makes my white hairs glisten like silver thread and I am often complimented on my hair colour. Thank you Aveda!

Couldn't be without it
I began using Blue Malva Shampoo when I stopped colouring my hair and found it really does enhance grey hair. I ran out once whilst away from home and used another shampoo; within days my grey/silver hair began to develop a yellow tinge - not good! On my return it took just a few shampoos of Blue Malva for my hair to return to its silvery sparkle. I wouldn't be without it.
