Excellent product
I have been buying this product for a few months for my son who has had facial acne for about 5 years. He has had various treatments from the doctor and also a course of Roaccutane which did work but the acne returned after a few months. He was recommended Effaclar by a pharmacist who said it was a good product having previously been prescription only, and the difference to his skin has been noticeable within a couple of months. He uses is twice a day as a moisturiser along with topical creams and low dose antibiotics. I would recommend it to anyone suffering from acne as it has definitely made a difference.

Makes you dry but great for spots
I haven’t got perfect skin however this moisturiser definitely gives my skin a healthy glow. The product is lightweight non greasy and quickly absorbed into the skin. I have been using it for the past 2/3 days and has slightly reduce some of my pigmentation I have also not seen any new spots appear. The product has a signature sent that seems to be present with the whole range. Overall it’s a nice moisturiser that makes the skin appear healthy. Definitely has some good skincare ingredients in there and I would buy myself. I would say however that if you are super dehydrated like myself that you would need to pair it with a serum and other additional products.

new skin care routine
i have recently started to have a skin care routine in place as i have never had an interest in doing so. i am a 28 year old man and this has been the moisturiser that i have bought and used and it has worked wonders! the cream does not feel greasy nor thick and it feels light on my skin. i have noticed that my skin looks less like leather and has smoothened out. i would highly recommend this product, the only downside i have against it is that for myself, it didnt absorb into my skin as quickly as i would have thought, but we all have different skin types so it may work better for others

I've always loved Effaclar duo, it's my go to daily moisturiser whenever I have any skin issues. If you have severe acne you should probably go see a dermatologist. However, there's nothing better to maintain your acne prone skin and prevent from blemishes.
Added SPF is only a plus. I do not need to put another SPF product during my morning routine (when I stay in the city) and using SPF is extremely important. During the day just top up with anthelios and you're protected from the sun :-)

Great
This was my first ever La Roche Posay product, used to have hormonal breakouts which leaves dark spots,a few months ago I started to use effalar creams. I have noticed a big improvement of my skin, I don't get much breakouts as before and even when I get them They don't leave dark spots. I am very satisfied with the results and I am comfortable with my skin. I recommend this products to anyone who has skin issues

Great multi-tasker for oily skin!
I've been using this as my morning moisturiser for a few months now and am very pleased with it!
I have oily skin that becomes shiny quickly, and so I like to avoid products that leave any shine after application. This sinks into the skin really nicely and doesn't feel heavy or greasy. It works well under make up but also gives the skin a nice appearance on its own.
I am also prone to having some blemishes and clogged pores. I have noticed some improvement since using this product, and expect to see more as time goes on, but in particular I am pleased with the fact that it doesn't make these issues worse. (Sometimes I find moisturisers that are too rich can clog my pores and make my skin bumpy in texture, or make me break out- the Effaclar duo+ does not!)
A big bonus for me was finding that La Roche-Posay have included an SPF option as I always look for a day moisturiser with some amount of SPF protection.

Made my skin worse
I suffer from cystic acne so have to be really careful with my skin which can break out easily. After months of clear skin due to a strict regime I decided to try a new mosteriser and as this was on sale in boots I had thought I would give it a try. I am really disappointed that within a couple of days I broke out in 5 cysts across my face and not just in my usual chin area.
Personally I like the consistency and the coverage of this moisturiser, and I love that it contains spf 30 in it. I didn't find it too oily but had to leave it a good 20mins to soak in before putting on makeup. If my skin hadn't broken out so badly I probably would have given it 4/5 stars, I may try the original moisteriser next time.

Does the job...slowly
Quite impressed with this product. Have used it nearly everyday since purchasing it over a month ago.
Does help to reduce red blemishes but not so much dark spots. Definitely not a product that will give you instant results but does work slowly as I started to notice changes to my skin after about 3 weeks.
SPF is not high enough for me so I still usually apply a factor 50 sunscreen on top.
